Lorna Robertson has approved for the Madam Butterfly oil painting to be sold to art collectors or art galleries in Japan only.
The painting which was made in 2004 and measures 43 inches by 43 inches in museum quality linen canvas is considered by many a masterpiece by Lorna.
She described the painting as one of her most important pieces that she has created in her life.
